The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) has issued two bulletins with regard to ransomware that you should read and share right now.

Ransomware is a type of malware designed to deny access to a computer system or data until a ransom is paid.  Organizations, municipalities, hospitals, and schools have been infected in a number of ways including phishing campaigns and software vulnerabilities.

The links below will take you to the two bulletins.  I highly recommend that you view, print, read, and share.  If anything in these bulletins raises questions for your business that you can’t answer, contact your IT provider.  If you need more information or a referral, contact your Foundation Title account representative.  We’d be happy to help you find an IT professional who can help to keep your data safe.  <Initial bulletin  <2019 Update
