Foundation Title Marlton Branch Flood Recovery

Foundation Title Marlton Branch Flood Recovery

In the early morning hours of Friday, November 3rd, a water pipe burst on the 2nd floor of the office building where our Marlton branch is located.  This flooded our suite, as well as the building’s elevators and entire 1st floor.  For safety concerns, tenants and their guests were evacuated that day.

Foundation Title’s business continuity and disaster recovery plan was activated as soon as we were made aware of the situation.  Although we did have some downtime, it was self-imposed as we prepared to activate our alternate servers.  Ultimately, we were able to have our IT team evaluate the issue, keep our network safe and restore service on our local network for our entire company within two hours of the start of business that day.

Our network is up and running and all branches are working.  Marlton employees have been sharing space with our Woodbury, Vineland and Hamilton New Jersey branches while the building management worked to remove the water and assess the damages.  We expect that some of our employees will return this week and a light closing schedule may resume in the Marlton office as well.  Full use of the office for sales, management and production personnel may be limited, with those team members working remotely until all water damage is fully assessed and remediated in their areas.

For anyone who experienced any delays in service on Friday or Monday because of this issue, we offer our sincerest apologies and thanks for your patience.  We would like also to thank our Marlton team members, and our co-worker-hosts at the branches who received them and acknowledge their tremendous efforts, going above and beyond the call, to get our office back up and running with no complaints and with plenty of positive energy.
-Peter Casey Wall, Director of Technology and Compliance
