Creating an Outstanding Listing Presentation Part 2

Real Estate is a competitive market and you work hard to build your business. With more and more people searching online for their next home, you need to have your listings stand out among all the others. This week is the second part of a two-part blog to help you make your listings shine.

Things to do after the presentation

  • Wait a few days after the presentation to follow up
  • Send a handwritten note to thank them for meeting with you
  • Ask your potential client if you can add them to your mailing list and send them a market update each month

What not to do

  • Don’t come to the appointment unprepared
  • Don’t be late for any of your appointments with your prospective client
  • Don’t choose overpowering perfumes or colognes, someone may be sensitive to certain smells
  • Don’t smell like you have been smoking, it may offend someone
  • Don’t speak so fast that your potential clients can’t follow you.
  • Don’t forget to listen to your potential clients
  • Don’t be unorganized, put things together before you arrive
  • Don’t forget to suggest small home improvements that will increase the value of the home.
  • Don’t leave your cell phone turned on. Give your client your full attention.
  • Don’t forget to thank them before you leave.

A few more tips

  • Your appointment is about your client, try to stay focused on them and their needs
  • While speaking with your potential client, create a dialog that enables them to fully understand the points you are trying to make.
  • Try not to sound like a salesperson. Most people associate a salesperson with buying a used car which is not the image you want them to have of you

We hope these tips have helped to give you more ideas to improve your listing presentation so that you can gain more clients.
